Metal-Free Safety Boots & Composite Toe Footwear

Safety footwear with no steel in it
Almost every safety boot on a Singapore site protects the foot with a steel toe cap and a steel puncture plate. Steel works — but steel also rusts, conducts heat, adds weight, and sets off every metal detector between the gate and the job.
The boots on this page do the same two protection jobs without any metal: a composite toe cap in place of steel, and a Kevlar® aramid puncture plate in place of a steel midsole.
Choosing the right one
| If your job is… | Take | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wet, muddy, in water or seawater all day | AIKO YB-ORANGE metal-free EVA boot | Knee height, waterproof, and there is no steel plate in the sole to rust from the inside |
| Airport, port, food plant or any metal-detector gate | AIKO YB-ORANGE metal-free EVA boot | Walks straight through — no metal anywhere in the boot |
| Dry site, long walking distances | King’s composite-toe safety shoes | Lower cut, lighter for a dry floor; not a wet-work boot |
| Your site specification says “steel toe and steel midsole” | King’s KV20 / KV20Y PVC boots | Sometimes the spec is the spec. We stock those too. |
Two things worth knowing before you switch a whole crew
1. Composite protects, it does not just avoid metal. A composite toe cap is tested for the same impact and compression protection as a steel one. What changes is that it does not conduct heat, does not corrode, and weighs less.
2. Weight on the foot is not the same as weight in a bag. NIOSH measured people walking in boots of different weights and found that every extra 1 kg of boot weight raised oxygen consumption by about 5–6% and heart rate by about 6%. Over a full shift in Singapore heat that is real.
