Description
Kills the extension cable. 17,000 lumens on a 2.2m telescopic mast, running off a lithium battery for over 20 hours — so there is no generator to start, no cable run across the walkway, and no temporary wiring to get signed off. One man carries it in, twists the mast up, and the area is lit.
The AIKO ATL-400-2.2M is the workhorse of the range: light enough to move between work fronts several times a shift at 10kg, tall enough at 2.2m to light a work face properly, and rated IP65 so it stays outside in the rain. Collapses to 64.5cm for the back of a van.
What it replaces
- Halogen work lamp + extension cable + generator. No trailing leads, so no trip hazard and no cable damage claim.
- Petrol or diesel portable gensets for lighting-only tasks — no fuel, no fumes, no noise, and it can go indoors.
- Hired site lighting on short jobs. Singapore hire rates run about S$450–900 a month; own it instead.

- Silent. Usable inside occupied buildings, hospitals, malls after hours, and residential-adjacent night works under NEA's 55 dBA night cap.
- Zero emissions. Basements, tunnels, tanks, plant rooms, confined spaces — anywhere a combustion engine is banned.
- Runs on mains as well. AC 100–277V for unlimited runtime where you have a supply.
- Charges your gear. Twin 5V 2A USB outlets on the unit — phones and radios stay alive through the shift.
- Fleet batteries. Same D24 platform as the rest of the AIKO ATL range.
Where it earns its keep: night works
Under NEA construction noise limits, a site within 150m of residential buildings is capped at 55 dBA between 10pm and 7am, and 70 dBA (Leq 5 min) between 7pm and 10pm. Near hospitals, schools and homes for the aged the evening cap tightens to 55 dBA. A running generator set does not sit inside those numbers. A battery tower light makes no noise at all — so the light is never the reason a night permit gets refused or a complaint gets raised.
It also supports your BCA Green and Gracious Builder Scheme submission across four scored criteria: energy-efficient equipment, alternate use of energy on site, using grid power instead of diesel generators, and alternative low-noise machines.
