MORTAR ADDITIVE FOR TILE ADHESIVE & TILE GROUT, BONDING AGENT, INJECTION POLYMER, SEALER, HARDENER & WATERPROOFER
SikaLatex®-88 Reno is a latex-based additive that enhances the strength and flexibility of cement-based mortars. It is ideal for tile installations, including ceramic, marble, slate, and natural stone, on various surfaces such as concrete, rendered brickwork, or existing tiles.
- Enhanced flexural strength (> 10 MPa) which increase flexibility in the bond coat thereby reduces cracking, spalling, etc particularly in installations subject to vibration.
- Improved tensile and compressive strength (> 50 MPa) which permits even heavy duty installations to be set with confidence.
- Better bonding strength approximately 3 times (> 0.3 MPa). Good for laying marble, granites and homogeneous tiles.
Usage:
- SikaLatex®-88 Reno can be used as an additive to cement-sand mix and tile adhesives for fixing ceramic tiles, pavers, marble, slate and natural stone onto concrete, blockwork and rendered brickwork surfaces.
- Can be mixed with sand and cement or mortar as a keycoat or spatterdash to create a strong bond for rendering or laying tiles over uneven concrete surfaces.
- Suitable to be used as an additive to strengthen cementitious mortars such as renders, screeds, etc.
- Good as an additive for colour tile grouts to increase bonding and water resistance
- Ideal as strengthening additive when added to cement-sand mix for tiling over existing tiles.
- Suitable for injection repairs of hollow plaster and floor screed to restore bond and integrity.
