Description
8.2 kilos, 3.1 metres, 14,000 lumens, and it needs nothing plugged into it. The lightest tower light AIKO makes — one man lifts it out of the van, walks it to the work front and has the area lit in under a minute. No genset to start, no cable to run, no permit for temporary wiring.
Rated IP66, the highest ingress protection in the AIKO ATL range — it will take direct water jetting and heavy rain, which makes it the right choice for washdown areas, marine work, tunnelling and anywhere the weather gets at your equipment.
Where it earns its place
- Fast-moving work fronts. At 8.2kg it moves with the crew instead of anchoring them.
- Confined and enclosed spaces. Zero emissions — tanks, plant rooms, basements, tunnels, service risers.
- Occupied buildings and night works. Silent, so it stays inside NEA's 55 dBA night noise cap near housing.
- Wet and washdown environments. IP66 rated against powerful water jets.
- Emergency and breakdown response. Grab it and go — nothing to fuel, nothing to warm up.
- Charges your gear. 5V 2A USB output on the unit.
What it replaces
The halogen lamp on a tripod, the 30-metre extension reel, and the small genset feeding them. That combination is a trip hazard, a noise complaint and a fuel run. This is one item, carried by one man, that runs over 13 hours on a charge and costs pennies of electricity to refill.
Where it earns its keep: night works
Under NEA construction noise limits, a site within 150m of residential buildings is capped at 55 dBA between 10pm and 7am, and 70 dBA (Leq 5 min) between 7pm and 10pm. Near hospitals, schools and homes for the aged the evening cap tightens to 55 dBA. A running generator set does not sit inside those numbers. A battery tower light makes no noise at all.
It also supports your BCA Green and Gracious Builder Scheme submission across four scored criteria: energy-efficient equipment, alternate use of energy on site, using grid power instead of diesel generators, and alternative low-noise machines.
